Chrome - the browser OS

In this article in Financial Times which quotes Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Land states: "It would be wrong to see this as a browser, it is very much an operating system". He is of course referring to Chrome.
His argumentation is simple and I happen to share his oppinions. Not referring only to Chrome, but to other Google new technologies as well (notably Gears), it seems quite obvious that in a few years a business or home user for that matter will be able to conduct their activities entirely off the web, irrespective of the operating system on their computer. And if the OS becomes irrelevant... why pay more for one when there are plenty free ;) which is incidentally what Microsoft has been fearing all along.

What I'd really really like to see next in Chrome

Yes, I already have Chrome as default browser and that raised some eyebrows, but something is bugging me: I have 3 computers I work on regularly (yeah - that's sad), but no way of sharing my favorites/settings between them. I think that'a big miss and shouldn't really be a big problem for Google to implement.

Google Chrome

Ah, not days after the previous post, here's CHROME. The browser from Google is here and after a few days of testing it I'm quite satisfied! It's fast, it looks good and it works ok for about 98% of sites. I've been able to use it even in my daily development jobs (which is no big deal really, but just goes to show one can safely employ it a a variety of scenarios).
Granted, it's just a regular browser (but faster than the others - much faster). It's just another step towards the google OS? It's probably the last step towards that as for a business Google has everything needed to kickstart it: office apps, infrastructure apps (Google Apps) and now a browser to access all this... Go Google!
